Worship: The Jonathan Project

« Go back to About Us page

It is our passion to connect your students to a loving God through worship music. If you are looking for an award winning concert artist then we are probably not the team you want. However, if you are looking for a group of people who desire to live out authentic worship, strive for quality musicianship, and love to be around students in order to point them toward the only one worthy of our worship, then please give us a call.

Craig Tackett

Over the past 16 years God has continued to open up numerous opportunities for Craig to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people across the United States. His fun, energetic personality attracts people of all ages and allows him to effectively communicate God’s Word to today’s generation. He is humorous and captivating but, most importantly, he is Biblical and relevant. Craig travels all year and speaks and leads worship for camps, revivals, retreats, conferences, and any other place where God — and schedule — allows him to serve. Craig’s powerful presentation of God’s message is equally relevant for the churched and the non-churched. Craig is also a talented worship leader who strives to point people in the direction of God through music and prayer. President of Inlightened Ministries, Inc., Craig currently lives in Roanoke, VA, with his wife Brittany and daughter Tyler. In Roanoke he is also involved in a college and young adult ministry call Rhythm.

Brittany Tackett

Brittany leads worship by example. She seems to get lost in the worship experience in such a way that people wish to be where she is. That is the essence of leading a congregation to worship. Brittany is a talented vocalist whose love for Christ is amplified by her love for worship. Beyond these things, she simply makes the guys look better! Brittany’s prayer for her fellow worshipers is for the world to fade away as the face of Christ becomes their focus.

Ben Stewart

Ben Stewart is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. Ben’s talents are really too numerous to name but the bottom line is he is making the Inlightened Ministries machine run more efficiently. Ben is our unofficial jack-of-all-trades. He runs sound, helps with product, designs, prints, does anything technical in our offices, manages and maintains our website, answers the phones, updates our records, and generally helps Craig out in whatever ways he can. Ben doesn’t just want to serve, he is a servant. His life is an example of his beliefs and his calling -- he just wants to fill in the gaps. We could not be more blessed to have him on our team.

The Jonathan Project

Inlightened Ministries has a long history of leading worship — even before we had a band. The Jonathan Project band started after one of our team members took a position as a full-time youth minister at a church. The ministry was at a crossroads and searching for God’s direction. After much prayer IM started a band internship. After two successful years of interns we knew that we needed to move the band toward more stable, full-time salary positions in order to continue. This happened in August of 2007. Currently the band lives in Roanoke, VA, where they lead worship for Rhythm (a local college/young adult worship service) and travel around to lead worship for youth events across the Southeast.

Thomas Frankie

My name is Thomas Frankie; I grew up in Charlotte, NC, and Roanoke, VA. I was raised in church and was saved at a young age. I attended Liberty University for two semesters and am currently taking a break from school to travel with the Jonathan Project. I have been playing guitar and bass for about ten years.

Will Fryar

Hey guys my name is Will and I’m from Southport, North Carolina, where my dad is the pastor of Southport Baptist. Growing up in a Christian home really helped me get a strong foundation for my life. I started playing drums in the middle school band were I learned the fundamentals. I played in many Christian bands including ones at my church. I love the Mountains and the Beach. I enjoy photography and a great live show... Oh I also Love sushi!!!! Peace be with you!!!

Daniel Griffith

I am your typical 20 yr old college student who grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. Even though I may be typical, God has rearranged and transformed my typical life and has led into something extraordinary, serving Him. I play rhythm/acoustic guitar for the Jonathan Project and cannot get enough of it. The people I get to worship God with and the friends I make on the road... there is not a close second to it. The team God has placed me with is nothing short of amazing, not because of who they are or what they can do but because what God does through them.

Topher Sandoval

I am the lead guitar player for the Jonathan Project. I am laid-back and always ready to make someone smile by cracking a joke or two. I am the oldest member of “The Band Guys,” and I enjoy traveling on the road. If I'm not asleep, you can usually find me chatting about 2 of my favorite subjects, Texas and John Mayer. I play with an American Standard Stratocaster with an ash body and “Texas Special” pickups, a PRS CE-22, and an assortment of pedals. For my choice of amps, I play out of either a Vox AC-15 or a 410 Fender Blues Deville.
